Connect Claude to PoseTracker

PoseTracker now has a remote MCP connector. You connect Claude, Cursor or Claude Code to your own account, click Allow once, and the agent can list exercises, write the iframe or SDK snippet, and store your API key in the app config instead of in the chat.

The connector does not replace the WebView or the SDK. It writes that integration for you, with the same credits and limits as the PoseTracker app.

Add the connector

The only URL you paste is:

In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste that URL, then Connect.

In Claude Code:

Then run /mcp and choose Authenticate.

In Cursor, add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json and click Connect under Settings → MCP:

The browser opens app.posetracker.com. Sign in (or create the account there — same checks as a normal signup, including Google) and click Allow. The card shows your email, your plan and what the agent will be able to do.

If you open the connector URL yourself, the page shows {"error":"unauthorized"}. That is expected. It is the signal that tells the agent to start sign-in. The longer .well-known address stays in an HTTP header; you never paste it.

What the agent can do

After Allow, ask “What is my PoseTracker account status?” You should get your email, plan and remaining credits.

From there it can:

• List official exercises, jumps, flexibility poses and physical tests.
• Generate an iframe, React or React Native snippet for a catalog movement such as squat or push_up.
• Talk to the PoseTracker assistant when the movement is not in the catalog, save that draft, then generate the snippet.
• Read your tracking API key and put it in an environment variable. Snippets keep the placeholder YOUR_API_KEY until that step.
• Hand you a Stripe link if you need the Developer plan. You pay in the browser. The agent cannot pay.

Catalog snippets do not spend AI credits. A turn with the assistant does, on the same daily limits as the app. Rep counting inside your product is billed the same way as a normal integration.

What stays yours

The agent cannot create the account and cannot change the plan. Disconnect any time under Settings → Account → Connected agents. Access stops immediately.

Do not paste the API key into the chat, and do not ask the agent to commit it. The assistant that designs a custom movement never receives the key.

FAQ

What URL do I paste into Claude?

https://mcp.posetracker.com/api/mcp, in Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.

Why does that URL say unauthorized in the browser?

That JSON starts the OAuth sign-in. Claude reads it and opens the Allow page. Leave the route as it is.

Does the agent see my API key?

Only to place it in your app config. Snippets stay on YOUR_API_KEY until then, and the movement assistant never sees the key.

Can the agent upgrade my plan?

No. It can only give you a Stripe link. You confirm the payment yourself.
